  • 3 medium fresh ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 to 1.5 cups ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, agave, or simple syrup)
  • 1/2 cup cold water or sparkling water
  • Optional garnish: fresh mint leaves or thin peach slices

Instructions

  1. Wash the peaches thoroughly. Peel them using a paring knife or vegetable peeler. Slice into chunks, removing the pit (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add the peach slices, lemon juice, sweetener, and cold water into a high-speed blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth and vibrant in color.
  3. Add the ice cubes and blend for another 30 to 45 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed, until you achieve a slushie texture that is smooth but with tiny icy bits.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sweetener or lemon juice if desired. Blend again for 10 seconds if you add anything.
  5. Pour into a glass, garnish with fresh peach slices or mint if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for best flavor. Peeling peaches improves texture. Adjust ice amount for desired thickness. Sweetener is flexible; taste peaches first. Pulse blender in bursts if needed. Can freeze peach mixture in ice cube trays for later use.
