This quick and easy Halloween popcorn mix combines salty popcorn, chewy candy corn, and smooth white chocolate for a crowd-pleasing treat that comes together in under 15 minutes. No fussy techniques—just toss everything together and enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups plain popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels, or one large bag of microwave popcorn, popped and lightly salted)
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup salted peanuts (optional)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1/2 cup pretzel sticks, broken into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional, for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn. If using kernels, pop them in an air popper or on the stovetop to get about 8 cups of popped popcorn. Remove any unpopped kernels. Set aside in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the white chocolate. Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted (about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes). Stir in vanilla extract once melted.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients. Add candy corn, peanuts (if using), and broken pretzel pieces to the bowl with the popcorn. Toss gently with your hands to distribute evenly.
  4. Drizzle the white chocolate. Pour melted white chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Use a spatula to gently fold and coat everything. Do not overmix—aim for a light, uneven drizzle.
  5. Spread and set. Turn the mixture out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread into an even layer. If using sprinkles and flaky sea salt, sprinkle on top while chocolate is still wet. Let sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes, or until white chocolate is firm. For faster setting, refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  6. Break into pieces. Once set, break the mix into clusters. Uneven chunks are part of the charm.

Notes

Do not add candy corn before the white chocolate cools slightly, as heat can make it sticky. Use room-temperature popcorn to prevent white chocolate from seizing. Work quickly once chocolate is melted. For best results, double the batch. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Do not refrigerate.
