This addictive snack mix combines cool, tangy ranch with warm, peppery Old Bay for a crunchy, savory treat that’s perfect for game days, parties, or any time you need a salty comfort snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 cups Chex cereal (mix of Corn, Rice, and Wheat)
  • 3 cups pretzel twists
  • 2 cups cheese crackers (e.g., Goldfish)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (roasted, salted peanuts, almonds, cashews)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line two large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gently toss together Chex cereal, pretzels, cheese crackers, and mixed nuts until evenly distributed.
  3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and whisk in Worcestershire sauce, ranch dressing mix, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  4. Pour the warm butter-seasoning mixture over the dry ingredients and fold gently until every piece is evenly coated.
  5. Divide the coated mixture evenly between the two prepared baking sheets and spread into a single layer.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until the mix is dry and crunchy.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheets, about 30 minutes, before serving or storing.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free Chex cereal and gluten-free pretzels. For dairy-free, use plant-based butter. The mix can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or frozen for up to 3 months. If it softens, re-crisp in a 300°F oven for 5 minutes.
