A simple, balanced charcuterie board for two featuring creamy brie, aged gouda, prosciutto, salami, fresh fruit, nuts, and fig jam. Perfect for a date night in or a small celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Brie cheese
  • 2 oz Aged Gouda or Manchego
  • 4 oz Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 2 oz Salami (Genoa or Soppressata)
  • 3 tbsp Fig Jam
  • 1/4 cup Honey or balsamic glaze (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Red or green grapes
  • 1 small Apple or pear, sliced thin
  • 2–3 Fresh figs (if in season), halved
  • 1/4 cup Almonds (Marcona if possible)
  • 1/4 cup Walnuts or pecans
  • Small handful of dried apricots or dates
  • 1 small baguette or handful of crackers
  • Olive oil and flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take brie and gouda out of fridge 15 minutes before starting. Place brie whole on board, slightly off-center. Slice gouda into thin triangles and fan out next to brie.
  2. Lay prosciutto slices in loose, ruffled folds. Fold salami slices in half twice and arrange in a small pile near one corner.
  3. Spoon fig jam into a small ramekin and place near center of board. If using honey or balsamic glaze, put in another small bowl nearby.
  4. Scatter grape clusters in small groups around board. Slice apple or pear thin (about 1/4 inch) and fan out near cheese. If using fresh figs, halve and place cut-side up.
  5. Sprinkle almonds and walnuts in small piles around board, filling gaps. Add dried apricots or dates in little clusters.
  6. Slice baguette into 1/2-inch rounds. Optionally brush with olive oil, sprinkle with flaky sea salt, and toast at 375°F for 5 minutes.
  7. Step back and fill any empty gaps with extra grapes or nuts. Aim for abundant but not crowded look.
  8. Serve immediately at room temperature with small plates and napkins.

Notes

Let cheese sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving. Don’t overcrowd the board; 6-8 ingredients is plenty. Use the ‘three-color rule’ for visual appeal. Prep all ingredients before arranging.
