A quick and easy frozen strawberry lemonade slushie recipe perfect for hot summer days, combining tart lemon juice, sweet honey, and icy frozen strawberries for a refreshing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (about 15 oz) frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) fresh lemon juice (about 45 medium lemons)
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) water
  • 1/4 cup (3 tbsp) honey (raw or local; can substitute agave or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups (812 oz) ice cubes
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves (a small handful)

Instructions

  1. Roll 4-5 medium lemons on the counter to loosen juice. Cut in half and juice to extract about 1 cup (8 fl oz) fresh lemon juice, removing seeds.
  2. In a large pitcher or bowl, mix lemon juice with 1 cup (8 fl oz) cold water and 1/4 cup (3 tbsp) honey. Stir until honey dissolves completely. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. Add 3 cups frozen strawberries and 1 to 1 1/2 cups ice cubes to a high-speed blender. Pour in the lemonade base.
  4. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth and slushy. Adjust thickness by adding more water or ice cubes as desired.
  5. Optionally add fresh mint leaves during the last 10 seconds of blending for a subtle herbal note.
  6. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, garnished with lemon slices or mint sprigs.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries directly without thawing for best icy texture. Adjust ice quantity to control slush thickness. Avoid over-blending to prevent smoothie texture. Substitute honey with stevia or erythritol for sugar-free version. Store lemonade base separately in fridge up to 3 days; blended slushie best served immediately or frozen up to 1 week.
