This Spooky Witch’s Brew Halloween Punch is a creepy-looking, ridiculously easy, and absolutely delicious party drink. It’s the perfect crowd-pleaser with a sweet-tart balance and a fizzy finish, complete with gummy worms and dry ice fog for maximum spookiness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups pineapple juice (unsweetened, 100% juice)
  • 4 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
  • 2 cups ginger ale
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice (fresh is best)
  • 1 cup gummy worms (sour kind recommended)
  • 1 cup frozen lychees or canned lychees (optional)
  • 12 dry ice blocks (for fog effect, handle with tongs)
  • Ice ring or large ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves or rosemary sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the ice ring a day ahead: Fill a bundt pan or ring mold halfway with water. Arrange gummy worms, lychees (if using), and mint leaves in the water. Freeze for 2-3 hours until solid, then fill the rest of the pan with water and freeze overnight.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine pineapple juice, cranberry juice cocktail, orange juice, and lime juice. Stir gently. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if needed.
  3. Just before serving, pour in lemon-lime soda and ginger ale. Stir very gently to keep carbonation.
  4. Carefully place the frozen ice ring into the punch bowl.
  5. Using tongs, add a small piece of dry ice (about the size of a golf ball) to the punch bowl for fog effect. Add another piece every 15-20 minutes to maintain the effect. Never ingest dry ice or touch it with bare hands.
  6. Garnish with extra gummy worms around the rim of the bowl and fresh mint or rosemary sprigs on the surface. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a kid-friendly version, skip the dry ice and use an ice ring with gummy worms and lychees. For an adult version, add 1 to 1.5 cups of dark rum or vodka. The punch can be made ahead by mixing the juice base up to 2 days in advance; add soda and garnishes just before serving. Always handle dry ice with tongs and never ingest it.
