A stunning and effortless charcuterie board perfect for Thanksgiving, featuring seasonal fruits, cheeses, meats, and nuts. It’s a crowd-pleasing appetizer that comes together in under 20 minutes and looks way more impressive than the effort it takes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, at room temperature
  • 6 ounces goat cheese log, sliced into rounds
  • 2 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), sliced thin
  • 2 medium pears (Bartlett or Bosc), sliced thin
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, washed and left in small clusters
  • 1 cup dried figs or dates
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces salami, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Marcona almonds or regular roasted almonds
  • 1/4 cup honey or fig jam
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs and thyme for garnish
  • 1 baguette, sliced and toasted
  • Water crackers and whole wheat crackers

Instructions

  1. Choose your board and plan your layout. Start with a clean, dry board. Place small bowls for honey/jam, candied pecans, and almonds, spacing them out.
  2. Place the cheeses: brie in the center-left, cheddar slices fanned on the right, goat cheese rounds near the top. Leave space between each.
  3. Add the meats: fold prosciutto into loose ribbons near the brie, fold salami slices in half and pile near the cheddar.
  4. Layer in the fruits: arrange apple and pear slices in overlapping fans near the cheddar and goat cheese. Place grape clusters in empty spaces. Scatter dried figs or dates and sprinkle fresh cranberries in small piles.
  5. Add the crunch: place crackers and baguette slices in a few spots around the board, near each cheese. Scatter almonds in remaining gaps.
  6. Garnish and finish: drizzle honey over brie and goat cheese. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs and thyme leaves around the board. Fill any empty spots with extra grapes or crackers.

Notes

Let brie and goat cheese sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before serving. Slice apples and pears right before arranging to prevent browning; toss with lemon juice and water if prepping ahead. If board looks sparse, add more crackers or fruit. For a vegetarian version, skip the meat and add extra cheese or nuts.
