A quick and easy Halloween treat featuring crunchy pretzels, smooth melted chocolate, and fun candy eyeballs. Perfect for parties, classroom treats, or a spooky movie night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (150g) mini pretzels
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (60g) candy eyeballs
  • 2 tablespoons orange and black sprinkles (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. Line a standard half-sheet pan with parchment paper. Arrange mini pretzels in a single layer across the pan.
  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth (about 90 seconds total).
  3. Pour melted semi-sweet chocolate over pretzels and spread evenly with a spatula to about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Melt white chocolate chips with remaining 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil in a separate bowl using the same method, being careful not to overheat.
  5. Transfer melted white chocolate to a piping bag or zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off. Drizzle over the semi-sweet chocolate layer in a zigzag pattern.
  6. While white chocolate is still wet, press candy eyeballs into the chocolate and sprinkle with optional sprinkles. Work quickly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or 30 minutes in the freezer) until completely firm.
  8. Lift bark out of pan using parchment paper. Break into irregular pieces with your hands.

Notes

Don’t skip the coconut oil; it helps the chocolate melt smoothly. Work quickly after drizzling white chocolate as it sets fast. For best crunch, serve within 2-3 days. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
